Schedule Part Time 20-29 Hrs
Serves as part-time Programmer Analyst, as a member of an Analysis Team, providing support to the Center for Army Analysis (CAA). Programmer Analyst conducts air and missile defense analysis using the Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) in support of the Army’s Total Army Analysis (TAA), Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR) and other applications. Programmer Analyst will work projects with supervision and support from Government and senior Team Members in the development of AFSIM “Framework” modules, initially at the unclassified level. As AFSIM development matures, Programmer Analyst will assist in transitioning AFSIM to a classified environment. Programmer Analyst will participate in discussions with operators of air and missile defense systems and other Subject Matter Experts to help ensure quality data inputs and representations. Analyst must demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of the HQDA’s suspense’s while maintaining model integrity. Programmer Analyst will recommend tradeoffs in modeling decisions, weighing both the timeline of the study and the fidelity of the modeling required. Programmer Analyst will apply data mining techniques to extract proper information from the simulation results. As provided and available, Programmer Analyst will consider and incorporate Allied capabilities in analysis. Deliverables will include EADSIM and AFSIM output reports, spreadsheets, data reduction, PowerPoint briefings, Information Papers and White Papers.
Candidate must have or be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in either Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Econ, Math, Chemistry and have 0-2 years of experience. Candidate must be eligible for a US Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Experience with Research, Modeling, Computing, Engineering is desired.
