Job Description
Position Summary 

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Intern in our NYC Headquarters. During the internship, the following duties will be completed on a daily basis. Some of these tasks may involve direct supervision and assistance from the Human Resources Coordinator, or Manager. For some of the more frequent (daily or weekly) duties, the intern will receive training on how to complete these tasks and then will be given an element of autonomy to complete them in the best way they see fit thereafter. 

The ideal candidate would able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week. 

**Internship is unpaid and for college credit only.**

Responsibilities

  • Employee File Maintenance
  • Collect New Hire Paperwork
  • Organize and maintain files current
  • File personnel, benefits, and recruitment files as needed
  • HR System Maintenance and Updates
  • Assisting the Corporate Recruiter with:
    • New Hire Orientation
    • Payroll
    • Recruiting
    • Staffing Needs Analysis and Documentation
    • Creation of Department Manual
  • Health and Wellness Program Awareness
    • Create monthly Marketing and Advertising campaigns for ASI Wellness Programs
    • Point of contact for ASI Employees regarding program sign-ups and general information
    • Promote Program awareness and upcoming events (i.e. creative emails, newsletters, etc.)

Required Skills

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, political acumen, maturity, credibility, confidence and unquestioned integrity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A record of complete integrity and strong personal character, leading by example
  • Collaborative, with strong focus on teamwork
  • Confident and comfortable in meeting tight deadlines
